BBC Highlights Nick Frost's Debut Art Exhibition at Linden Hall Studio

Actor and writer Nick Frost, best known for his roles in Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, is presenting his first solo art exhibition at Linden Hall Studio in Deal, Kent.

The exhibition marks a new chapter for Frost, who began painting around six years ago during a period of insomnia. What started as late-night sketching and doodling gradually developed into a serious creative practice focused on portraiture and character-driven artwork.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition opening, Frost described feeling many of the same nerves he experiences before acting performances. Despite a long career in film and television, he said sharing artwork with the public can feel particularly personal because it reveals a different side of his creativity.

Many of Frost's paintings are inspired by people he imagines and the stories behind them. Drawing on his experience as a writer and filmmaker, he creates fictional backgrounds, personalities and life histories for the characters that appear in his work.

The exhibition opens at Linden Hall Studio in Deal and offers visitors an opportunity to explore a lesser-known aspect of Frost's artistic career.
