Lottie Cole: A Solo Exhibition

November 2026

For artist Lottie Cole, the home is a constant source of inspiration—a layered reflection of the people who live within it. Her paintings draw viewers into interiors that feel warm and familiar, revealing deeper stories of identity, memory and time the longer you look.

This idea of home as both a lived space and a personal expression runs throughout her work. With a background in art history, before developing painting on the side of a career, Lottie is interested in creating images that offer immediate visual appeal while rewarding closer attention. “I’ve always wanted people just to say, ‘Oh, that’s a nice image.’ And then, if they want more, there is more to find.”

“I like rooms that tell a story,” she says. Her interiors are imagined rather than real, built from fragments of magazines, Instagram, memory and observation. The result is spaces that feel authentic and lived-in, where small imperfections—a crooked painting, a displaced cushion, a casually arranged vase—bring a sense of life. “It can’t all be perfectly harmonious,” she says. “That’s not really how we live.”

Lottie Cole is a much-loved artist whose work is displayed throughout the year in our LHS Collection. Following an appearance in Homes & Gardens magazine and growing recognition for her work as being named an Artist to Watch in 2026. Lottie will present an exciting solo exhibition at Linden Hall Studio in November, offering a new opportunity to experience her distinctive work.
