We are delighted to share that the work of David Abbott, one of the artists represented by our gallery, has been featured in The Observer’s Designs & Interiors section. His work is displayed in the home of architect William Guthrie in Brockley, South London.
Guthrie’s apartment, part of an 1870s house converted into five flats, was recently showcased for its inventive, space-conscious design. The feature highlights how Guthrie maximised light, proportion, and spatial relationships, transforming a compact flat into a home that feels open, generous, and carefully considered.
Amid this thoughtful design, Abbott’s artwork plays a prominent role, adding warmth, texture, and visual interest to the space. His pieces complement Guthrie’s inventive interiors, demonstrating the powerful interplay between contemporary art and architecture in creating dynamic, lived environments.
We are proud to see David Abbott’s work celebrated in such a high-profile context, reflecting how his art enriches both domestic and creative spaces.
