“This sculpture reaches outward—awkward and mechanically sprawling—while simultaneously drawing inward a compelling mix of elements, seemingly hoovered up through exploration. Graffiti-influenced structures sit alongside echoes of 20th-century assemblage. Clean, precisely laser-cut lines signal contemporary technology, reinforced by the ‘flatpack’ format and its open-ended, interpretive potential. Yet the chaotic angles disorient us, as though we’ve arrived from another time and place, suddenly tasked with making sense of discordant information.
The palette feels both earthly and industrial, lifted from landscapes and urban environments alike.
It is both unsettling and inviting.”
