Annie Clay Awarded the LHS Collection Prize

We are delighted to announce Annie Clay as the recipient of the LHS Collection Prize as part of the Winter Group Show 2025/2026 at Linden Hall Studio.

Dungeness

56 x 48cm

Acrylic, charcoal, coloured pencil, and pastels on a wooden panel.

"...This work subtly references Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage without relying on its title. It combines the immediacy of a travel sketch with the deliberate precision of a painter. The artist's handwritten diary entries, rendered in varied sky-blue tones, integrate seamlessly into the open landscape, creating a layered and introspective narrative. The piece invites a contemplative engagement with private thought, executed with restraint and sophistication..." - LHS

The LHS collection Prize offers one artist the opportunity to join the Linden Hall Studio collection of regular artists for a six month period, providing increased visibility to collectors and visitors and supporting the continued development of their practice.

We congratulate Annie Clay on receiving the LHS Collection Prize and thank all the artists who have contributed to making the Winter Group Show 2025/26 such a rich and compelling annual exhibition.
