Annie Clay Awarded the LHS Collection Prize

We are delighted to announce Annie Clay as the recipient of the LHS Collection Prize, awarded for her work Dungeness, presented as part of the Winter Group Show 2025/26 at Linden Hall Studio.

From LHS:

“This work subtly references Derek Jarman’s Prospect Cottage without relying on its title. It combines the immediacy of a travel sketch with the deliberate precision of a painter. The artist’s handwritten diary entries, rendered in varied sky-blue tones, integrate seamlessly into the open landscape, creating a layered and introspective narrative. The piece invites a contemplative engagement with private thought, executed with restraint and sophistication.”

The LHS Collection Prize

The LHS Collection Prize offers one artist the opportunity to join the Linden Hall Studio collection of regular artists for a six-month period. The award provides increased visibility to collectors and visitors, while supporting the continued development of the artist’s practice through sustained representation within the programme.

Our congratulations to Annie Clay on receiving the LHS Collection Prize. We thank all exhibiting artists for their thoughtful contributions to the Winter Group Show and for the care and rigour they bring to this annual exhibition.
