This November, Linden Hall Studio welcomes artist Graham Fink for a special one-day collaboration exploring his practice of Eye Drawing.
Graham Fink is an internationally recognised artist whose work blurs the boundaries between art, technology and human perception. His innovative process transforms the act of looking itself into a form of drawing, using custom software developed in collaboration with Swedish firm Tobii Technology. This specialist eye-tracking system allows his gaze to ‘draw’ directly onto a digital canvas by cleverly translating movement into line.
Each composition emerges from a single, continuous line - a direct extension of his vision and concentration. The resulting portraits are intricate, expressive studies that reveal both the rhythm of observation and the fluidity of thought. Fink describes the process as “the purest form of observation,” where there are no corrections or mistakes — only the trace of seeing itself.
Visitors are invited to experience this unique fusion of technology and artistry in person. Throughout the afternoon, Graham will be creating live Eye Drawings at the studio, offering an opportunity to witness the process first-hand and to purchase a digital portrait created using this remarkable technique.
This event is free and open to all, with the option to buy a digital copy of your portrait for just £20. Physical prints can also be purchased and will be priced at £100.
