EYE DRAWING II: GRAHAM FINK: WHERE LOOKING BECOMES DRAWING

Following the overwhelming response to last year’s event, Linden Hall Studio is delighted to welcome Graham Fink back to Deal for EYE DRAWING II, a special one-day return of his extraordinary live portrait experience.

Graham Fink is an internationally recognised artist whose practice brings together art, technology and human perception. Using custom software developed in collaboration with Swedish eye-tracking specialists Tobii Technology, Fink transforms the act of looking into a form of drawing. His gaze is tracked in real time and translated directly onto a digital canvas, allowing him to create a portrait using only the movement of his eyes.

Each composition emerges as a single continuous line: an immediate record of vision, concentration and observation. Intricate, expressive and entirely unique, the resulting portraits reveal both the rhythm of looking and the fluidity of thought. Fink describes the process as “the purest form of observation”, with no corrections and no mistakes, only the trace of seeing itself.

Across two sessions, from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm, visitors are invited to watch Graham creating Eye Drawings live and to have their own portrait made through this remarkable process.

The event is free and open to all.

A digital JPEG of your Eye Drawing can be purchased for £20. Physical prints are also available, priced at £100 for A4 and £350 for A3.
