I trained as a Fine Artist at Brighton Art College in the sixties. Subsequently I gained an MA in Art and Architecture at Canterbury College of Art. My career has been in education with a very strong emphasis on the arts. Now in retirement, I exhibit with the Linden Hall Studio Gallery in Deal and have a studio in Walmer. Previously I have exhibited in the Mall Galleries in London, the Horsebridge Gallery in Whitstable, the Sassoon Gallery in Folkestone and the Beaney Museum in Canterbury. My work finds its inspiration in the figure, landscape, seascape, natural found objects, architecture  and fantasy. Drawing is at the root of my practice. I use a variety of media including oils, watercolour, charcoal and pastel. My approach is experimental and expressionistic.
